Momma, Daddy, Jim (funny story and a tiny mini vent)

Jim!?!?!

I always thought I'd be Mommy but I'm not. I'm Momma. Chat Icon

Jim (my hubby) bless him.. why is that men seem to NOT show any acknowledgement when we talk to them, ask them to do something? "Jim, nose" meaning give me a tissue her nose is running, etc. But I have to say his name five times and ask him "did you hear me" before he'll say "yeah I heard you" then go get the tissue for me. If I want him to do ANYTHING I have to ask four or five times *sigh*. I would appreciate a look in my direction, a nod, a yes, an Ok, a grunt .. SOMETHING that says you heard me! sheesh.

Well since he doesn't this is HIS issue now.

AJ walked right up to him on the couch and said "Jim, nose" Chat Icon

Since we often ask her to repeat herself to figure out what she's saying he asked her "what did you say?" her response... "Jim, nose" I loved it! So I told him (after we both looked at each other in shock and I stopped giggling).. Don't answer just wait until she says Daddy, nose, then act.

So she finally did. I thought it was hiliarious. Him, not so much. He blames me because I say his name so often. I blame him because I HAVE to! ha!

A few days later she walks up to hiim while he's sleeping and says "jim, Jim, Jim, up, Jim, Up" Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am trying not bring attention to it and say "Daddy" more often and ask her "go tell Daddy "Daddy, more please" etc.

2yrs old and she's calling her father by his name. Dang I wish I could catch it on video!

Haha! Your husband sounds like mine! We just had the same conversation yesterday about acknowledging when I speak!

I always yell up the stairs and wake my husband up. Now my DS (2) will yell "Rich, wake up!" up the stairs in the morning! Guess I say it a little too much! LOL
