Mommies I Need A Remedy
Does anyone have any good remedies for constipation for a 19 month old. Delaney hasn't gone in almost 3 days. I'm not sure she'll take the prune juice.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Buy a jar of prune baby food. She might like it. Also alot of water can help.

Aside from prune juice and lots of water and fruits and veggies, you can try the Little Tummys laxitive drops, they are chocolate flavored so that might help and it is a natural vegetable senna formula

My daughter suffered from this since she was born. I mix the prune juice with her milk. Try to mix the juice w/ her milk.

Jeremy has gone 5+ days without a BM. My DH was getting worried but he didn't seem uncomfortable and was passing gas so I knew things would be ok. Just be prepared when it finally does happen. It was like an explosion sorry TMI!

She is a little irritated but I'm not sure if it's because of this. AND, she's not gassy at all. I told the day care to call me today if she does eventually go because if she doesn't I need to get something to help her

Mylicon drops always helped marissa. Also give more prune juice then water when you mix it up together.

my daughter loves the cherry flavored prunes she eats then like rasins (i told her they were big rasins.....maybe she would eat them? Karo syrup also...good luck

I just came upon this remedy this weekend. John gets juice now so I gave him pear juice on Saturday. When he went to the bathroom,
whoa mama, I've never seen him like that
Try some pear juice

I agree with the pear juice.. also.. if she is really straining.. take the rectal thermometor and put some vasiline on it and move it around a little.. Also try some more fiber in her diet.. I get from my dad who is a pharmasict Apple juice with fiber in it... it works wonders....
