Mommies using powder formula
Do any of you mix enough powder w/ water and store it in the fridge for the whole day? Or do you just mix one bottle at a time.. Also, once you mix it and put it int he fridge, how long is it good for THX

Re: Mommies using powder formula
I make the bottles for the day.
I believe it is good for 24 hours once mixed with water. IT can be left unrefirgerated up to 2 hours before giving it.
Since DD is down to 3 bottles a day, I tend to make them while she's in the highchair eating food and then I leave it on the counter so it's room temp. for her to start an hour later.

Re: Mommies using powder formula
We make it for the day, usually. Just easier. It lasts 24 hours.

I make mine throughout the day, but 2 hours unfridg. if feeding hasn't started and 24 hours once mixed in the fridge.

We make up the bottles for the day the night before or in the morning now.

Re: Mommies using powder formula
I bought a small tupperware drinking pitcher (I think its 32 ounces big). On the back of the Similac Advanced, there are directions for making a larger amount - 23 ounces of water and 1 cup of formula, so that is what I do. I make a pitcher each night before I go to bed and I use it throughout the next day, in her bottles or in her cereal. It's good for 24 hours and I find it much easier just to pour a bottle when she needs it rather than make one each time.
