Mommies who took their babies in pools before 6 months....

Did you use swim diapers? Or something else? I was looking at CVS yesterday and the "Swimpers" started at size 3 (or that is what they had).

I know DS can't wear a size 3. I tried a Size 3 Overnight diaper last night and it came up to his armpits

He has bathing suits, I am just stumpted as to what I should put UNDER it.

I took dd in the pool a few weeks ago, we got swim diapers that started at 16 lbs, even though she was only like 14 lbs at the time....they were big but not TOO big...have fun

I only use the swim diapers that have plastic inside and elastic legs incase of a breast milk poop it stays contained and not in my pool!! The Pampers and Huggies ones aren't the best for that.

Before she fit in the swim diapers we just used regular ones. They swelled up a lot but didn't leak.

For babies that small, they sell fabric swim diapers (I know Target has them). They have a built in diaper part... I got my DD Swimmies in Small (Huggies) and they just about for her and she is 13 months.

I used the cloth swim wear with a built in diaper for Ds.
