Mommies without SLR's what do you own?
I can't find one that I like!!!!!!!!! I have returned 2 now
The shutter seems to be sooooo slow and then the flash reload is sooo slow too.

I have a Nikon D80 and I have no idea how to 'really' use it. But it sure is purty.

All non SLR's stink once you've used and SLR. Not necessarily quality but the shutter speed in ridiculous. You never get the shot you think you're getting.

same here and i totally agree with monkeybride. one thing that helps with the point and shoot shutter speed is to not take the photo using the LCD but rather via the viewfinder. something i never do because it's a PITA, but it supposedly does help...

I have a Canon PowerShot SX100IS and I love it. It's more substantial than many point and shoots and it has a lot of features too. I never had (nor probably ever will have) an SLR, so I guess I don't know what I'm missing...but then again, I wasn't aiming to be the next Ansel Adams.

I have an Olympus 710. I am getting an SLR for my birthday, but I really like my current camera, it is a good point and shoot and takes great photos in natural light!
Its nice and thin and I can throw it in my pocket too, and I am pretty sure it goes underwater
