"Mommy, you fixed the car!"
Last night I was driving my Mom around to various errands, etc. Since her accident in December, she hasn't driven (even though we have Grandpa's car on the road for her). I decided to take that car out last night. It's not good to have it sit and I want to slow up on the mileage on the van. Her biggest concern was that we were going to get stuck since it can often be unpredictable
Somewhere during our journeys, the light turns green at a major intersection and I hit the gas. The car stalled and would not restart. I tried to stay calm as my Mom freaked. I snapped at her to shut up and the car grew quiet, even Amber knew that Mom meant business. I jumped out of the car, popped the hood and messed around with the choke (mind you, this is an 83' car). Sure enough, the old lady fired up and we were back in business. A little voice spoke up from the backseat "Mommy, you fixed the car!! Good Job, Good Job!". I couldn't stop laughing!! I don't know where she got the good job from, but it was soo cute that I was being commended by a two year old

Aww, how cute!
I hear you on the old car. Years ago I drove my dad's 1985 Malibu Station wagon. If it stalled, he taught me to always carry a pencil with me, and to stick it in the choke to restart the car. It always worked.
