"Mommy...people suck!"
I've been very conscientous of what I've been saying around Amber lately because she's turning into a real life parrot. Lately she's been coming out with some doosies!
While driving today, there was a ton of traffic. I was doing my typical PG grumbling and as we passed the four car accident, Amber yells "Mommy - people suck!" I didn't know whether I should  or  , so I told her while that might sometimes be true, she needs to not repeat that again.
Last night, one of her dolls was malfunctioning (it's one of those dolls who say "Momma I'm hungry, Momma I'm thirsty"). Well, the doll was being all demanding and kept repeating rapid fire "Momma I'm hungry, etc.". She looked at her baby, rolled her eyes and said "Okay, okay, settle down!!! I'll be right with you!". Again, I didn't know whether to or because she seemed so stressed. So I said "It's kind of hard being the Mom sometimes, eh?" and she was like "It sure is!". This was a far cry from the child who was in meltdown mode on Friday night when her father came to pick her up for visitation. I had to hide the tears as she fought against him, screaming "I don't like you, I want Mommy. I want to stay with my Mommy!! Please mommy, get in the car!!". Talk about breaking my heart

Cute beginning post, but heartbreaking by the end. I feel so sad for her to have to deal with this at her age. You are a STRONG woman and Amber is lucky to have you as her role model!

What does PG grumbling stand for?
Very cute story. I hate, hate, hate that you have to deal with her leaving on the weekends.

 my DD has done the same thing when going with her father... breaks my heart too...

I love Amber. She is soooo cute. So sorry she is having a difficult time going to her Daddy's. I hope she'll eventually feel differently for you. You are a good mommy, Sharon
