Mine was a necessity- DS was born in Sept- and we started using it in Dec. (he was about 2.5 months old) I used it throughout the winter- it was so much easier than putting a heavy coat on my little peanut...
However- Im not sure if you will really need it in April... if anything Id get the bundle me light

I agree. I had a november baby and used the regular bundle me until about april, then switched to the light.

i figured i wouldnt need the bundle me
however the bundle me lite isnt at babies r us, only the toddler size... but thats okay i will just register for a nice extra blanket to match the crib bedding.

They definitely have them at Babies R Us because I just registered with my niece and her little girl is due in April too. They don't have them online, only at the store...Here's the item number

For late April I wouldn't say it's a necessity you could use blankets or get the Lite one.
