Moms of 2+

I know this has been asked before, but I'm polling my current peers on this board Chat Icon

Did you carry the same/differently and did you/will you have the same/different sex child?

I think I'm carrying pretty much the same (a little lower this time) but honestly, when I think about it - it's how your body carries a pregnancy, right? So why in the world would your belly look drastically different? And if it did, wouldn't having already had a pregnancy account for that (like your shape is already stretched) Chat Icon ?

i thought the same thing until a girl i know had her two kids.

the first was a girl. she had almost no belly - it was kind of weird and wide and flat in front. she never "popped" but her azz and thighs got HUGE!!

she got pregnant when her DD was only 5 months old.

with that one, she was so round and pointy in front it looked like she was smuggling a basketball. she didn't gain weight anywhere else. and that one was a boy.

but who knows? Carolyn carried totally differently this time and had another girl Chat Icon

I think I recall MikisMom saying she carried the same, and obviously had one of each.

But I wonder if we're carrying lower (I am a bit, but not much) b/c we've already damaged our bodies and gravity is pulling the baby down Chat Icon

Hmm perhaps Chat Icon Although it really sucks being that high, I could NEVER breathe and my upper back was a mess. Well worth it though. Have you decided to find out or not?

Re: Moms of 2+

I am carrying different, that's for sure.

I'm much smaller and I don't have as much fluid as I did with DD.

Re: Moms of 2+

I am definitely carrying different this time. I had a Chat Icon 2 years ago and this time everyone guessed Chat Icon - sure enough, I am having a Chat Icon

It's easy for me to compare too b/c I started out the exact same weight and have gained virtually to the pound the same exact weight this time as last. But, last time I had a big belly - looked like i swallowed a basketball it was perfectly round and stuck straight out - and, I was all belly - looked the same everywhere else. This time my belly is not as big - it is wider rather than sticking straight out and I look like I have gained more weight than I have b/c my face is fuller and I have an overall puffier look to me. I carried kind of low both times though.

So the old wives tales were true for me!

Re: Moms of 2+

I am carrying completely differently this time, even my obgyn commented on it. DS was a footling breech and DD is a transverse breech. It has made my repeat c/s decision a million times easier.
