Do you have a double? a sit and stand? what kind? do you like it? pros/cons.

I'm not sure what to do...DD will be 18 months when DC#2 is born.

Mine were 16 months apart. I started with a Duoglider. Hated it. It was so heavy with the toddler and the infant seat.

I think it was around 20 months when I got the Sit N Stand which I love. If they'd had the one with the 2 seats I'd have gotten that instead of the Duoglider.

I THINK they have a sit and stand with 2 seats now...do you think 18 months is too young for one? DD is very active and loves to run so I'm nervous that she won't stay on the Sit n Stand unless she's straped downChat Icon

They def. have one with 2 seats now. I guess the back seat comes out when you are ready for it to be a real sit n stand.

There is one strap to keep them in when sitting on the jumpseat, and one to keep them in when they are standing on the running board thing. It's not foolproof, but it works well for us so far.

Re: mom's of 2 under 2

Mine are 14 months apart. I now have the Chicco C5 double umbrella. I used it since the little one was about 6-8 weeks old. It folds down compact and is light for a double-about 28lbs. Both girls are very comfy in it.
I use it mainly for walks and quick trips when i am by myself. I wanted a side by side cause i was not a fan of the tandem ones at all and i found the baby's to be squished sitting behind each other and i have a peanut toddler.
My Oldest LOVES to hold her sisters hand in the stroller, it's so cute! And she couldn't do that with a tandem:)

When we are out together and when we travel to LI, We mostly use our single strollers-right now it's mostly the snugride frame and my peg. It's been easier that way.

Plus when we shop together my older one sits in the cart and we put the baby into the frame for now, then it will be the peg.

Personally, I'd wait on purchasing one until you know exactly what you'll be using it for. I had a baby jogger city series double and I LOVED how it handled and the girls were comfy for walks, but my DD HATED it when it came to shopping, she couldn't sit enough upright and it was really heavy and bulky in my truck.
Seles81(adrianna) and I did so much research together on strollers, seriously it consumed my whole pregnancy from start to finish.

good luck!

We're getting the double stroller that converts to a sit 'n' stand from one step ahead. Matty will be 16 months when the baby is born so he won't really be ready for the sit 'n' stand.

A double stroller. I needed one because Maddie was born during Joseph's throw yourself on the floor stage. Later on I bought a sit & stand.

Honestly, I got all of mine as hand-me downs or used.

Stupid question - do the side by sides hold an infant seat? or do you put the newborn in it without the carrier?

Yes some of them do-the Zooper tango
and combi do. Some of the joggers also hold an infant seat with an adapter-Urban Moutain buggy does, and baby jogger is suppose to be coming out with one.

Mine doesn't, but i just take her out and put her in the stroller. Now that's it's cold though, I use my singles since she's in the bundle me. She'll be out of her seat shortly since she's too heavy for me, then she'll go right into again.

While mine are 1.5 and 3.5 now, I got the Sit and Stand from the start and it was perfect for us. I still use it now, and plan on using it for a little while longer (until my son is too big for it).

Children are 10 mths apart. I have a double side-by-side.

I feel that I needed the side by side since dd was so young was ds was born. I like the fact she can nap in it if she wants, which is why i wouldn't consider getting a sit-n-stand.

I don't always use the stroller. If I am going somewhere and getting a few things I put DD in the cart seat and DS in his infant seat in the back of the cart. I use the sides of the cart and bottom for items I am purchasing.

Mine are 20 months apart, just ordered the Zooper Tango side by side, will have it next, I have been researching for MONTHS and hopefully I will like it...
It is not sold in stores so I couldn't see it in person but I didn't like any of the others that I did see...

This one holds an infant carrier which I wanted...

I have a combi side by side...LOVE it...11 lbs, easy to steer but I hardly use it! DD was 17 1/2 mths when DS was born.....well she goes in and out of the stroller. She likes to walk.

I was using my Graco travel system with the carrier and an umbrella stroller for her....

DS now gets the umbrella and she walks....then again, we don't go anywhere that requires them to be in a stroller...
