Moms of 5-6 mo olds - when you bring DC with you to a restaurant...
Where do you you "seat" him? Do you keep DC in his/her stroller? on your lap? or do you have a seat that you use? are the high chairs the restaurant provides ok - or are these for bigger kids?

I think the restaurant highchairs are too big for a baby this size. Around 6 mos. we started using the Fisher Price booster seat; before that, she would stay in the infant carrier.

We use this from BRU and it's awesome....
Chicco Hippo Hookon Chair - Nature
DD was too small for the highchairs most restaurants provided so it was either on my lap or this.
Now we don't leave home without it!

At 6 months Caden can sit in the restaurant highchair but not for a huge amount of time..so we bring him in the infant seat..get the high chair..and take turns with him on our lap.

we try and get there while shes sleeping and keep her in her car seat. We once took her out of car seat and she wanted to be held standing.. lets say we ate really fast so we could leave. DD was btwn 4-5 m at that time, and wasnt ready for a high chair yet, she was to squirmie.

she's only been twice but i've used the infant-to-toddler highchair and she likes it. she fell asleep in it too

We keep her in her car seat for the most part, but will hold her on our laps if she needs to stretch or gets fussy.

we have the fisher price space saver high chair....it's great, he is happy, can see, can have ceral and toys, and we can eat peacefully.  It's easy to attach to the chair too, he is not yet big enough for the little boosters.

I have this too but we don't use it yet. DD stays in her car seat.

My son started sitting up very earlier so at that stage the hjighchair was fine, but also at some restuarants they just flip them over and the car seat goes on it.

We keep him in the Graco Snap n Go Stroller Car Seat next to us. If he wants to get out, then I will hold him in my lap. He's too young to sit in the highchair - he can't sit up by himself.
