Moms of ~5 month old...
Is your baby tripoding yet?
My ped said by his 6 month visit in 3 weeks he should be doing this. He can do it for a second but then topples over

Anthony does it when he wants to. He'd rather stand so when we try to sit him down he arches his back and slides. But when he does want to sit, he's tripoding. Every baby is different though, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Ohh, Matteo topples over too! I think all babies go at different paces. I'll see what his doctor says next week.

Ellie does it but not for long and she's more interested in standing. Ped didn't address at all yet. She asked about other things.

I just tried to sit him up and put his arms down and it is hard for him to reach the floor. Maybe his arms are too short

Kerri doesn't do this very well either....she wil only stay for a few seconds then topple over...she tends to lean all the way forward too

Yes! Doesn't look very comfortable...she will go so far forward her face is nearly touching the carpet!

Miranda didn't tripod or sit up until she reached the 6 month mark. It will happen. Every baby is different. There's not an exact age that they all do everything at. It can happen overnight too.

Michael can tripod... he just hates it! I can get him to sit there for a while with a toy, then he leans all the way forward and topples over.
