Moms of 6 mos

Can you post your DC's eating schedule. I am not sure if DD is getting enough formula. She recently dropped one and then all of a sudden two bottles.

7 AM 6- oz bottle
10 -cereal and fruit
1:00- 6 oz bottle
4 -cereal and fruit
7 -Breast feed

AS you can see, she only gets two bottles and then when I nurse her she gets more. Does this sound right? We are going to DR this weekend and they will start her on veggies so I am afraid she might drop that 1:00 bottle too????

Re: Moms of 6 mos

For our 7mo DD, the ped said that solids should not replace formula. I'm not sure of the exact schedule, but I do know that DW focuses on the formula, and suplements with food.

We're just going by what our ped told us.

Re: Moms of 6 mos

We have 3 meals per day and three bottles per day.

7:30 am bottle (4-6oz)
9:00 am breakfast (4tbsp oatmeal & 1 fruit)
12:00 lunch (4 tbsp cereal, 1/2 jar meat w/veg & 1/2 fruit)
3:00 bottle (4-6 oz)
5:00 or 6:00 dinner (cereal, 1/2 veg & 1/2 fruit)
7:00-8 bottle & bed (4-6 oz)

DD really dropped her formula intake when we went to 3 meals per day, but our Ped said 16-20 oz is fine so she's not concerned as long as we keep increasing the solids. She's 7 mos now & 'm about to go up again to 5 tbsp and we'll see about the jars.

Re: Moms of 6 mos

DD is just about to turn 7 mos old. This is basically her schedule.

6:30-7:00 - 4-5oz bottle
9:30-10:00 - 3-5oz bottle, 1-2Tbsp Cereal, 1-2Tbsp fruit
12:30-1:00 - 3-5oz bottle, 1Tbsp meat, 1Tbsp veg
3:30-4:00 - 3-5oz bottle, 1-2Tbsp cereal, 1-2Tbsp veg.
6:30-7:00 - 4-5oz bottle.
She usually drinks 5 bottles a day and gets about 20oz a day on average.

Hailey is a little over 6 months and here is her schedule:

7:30 - 7-8 oz bottle
8:30 - cereal and fruit
11-ish - 7-8 oz bottle
2:00 - 7-8 oz bottle
5:00 - 7-8 oz bottle
6:00 - cereal and veggie
7:00 - 4-5 oz bottle

I guess it seems like she eats a lot compared to other babies (?)

Re: Moms of 6 mos

Ryan gets 4 6 oz. bottles and 4 servings of food per day. The doctor told us he should get 20-24 oz. of formula per day. Also, I give him fruit or veggie or cereal and then a bottle right away. So eats 4 times per day. From what I'm reading here, that is different from everyone else... Guess I'll ask the doc about that. Chat Icon
