Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
I was wondering what is your child's nighttime sleeping habit and how many ounces and how often does he/she eat?

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
Andrew sleeps about 5 1/2 - 6 hrs a night. During the day it is every 3-4 hrs and he eats 6 ounces-8 ounces.

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
we're probably the wrong ones to ask b/c Ellie sleeps 7 hours the first shift at night and has been since around 5 weeks. She BF so I really couldn't tell you how many ounces she gets we're never sure. She wakes in the early morning nurses again and goes down for another 3 or 4 hours and then she's up pretty much until bedtime she's not like other babies I don't think

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
I'm BF so I don't know how many ounces. But he sleeps for one 4 hour strech, then two 2 hour stretches. He takes 1-2 hours naps at least twice a day. He slept through the night on Wednesday, like 7 hours, but I think that it was a fluke.

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
My son will sleep for about 5-6 hours at night and takes appx 5 oz per bottle. He was just 8 weeks. One night last week I expected him to get up for an 11:30pm feeding but I fell asleep and he woke up at 4:30am!! A total 8 hour fluke but I took it gratefully nonetheless.

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
At 7-8 weeks old, DD was sleeping through the night (8-10 hours) and was eating 4 ounces about every 3-4 hours during the day. We would give her her last bottle between 10 and midnight, and she would sleep until about 8-8:30am.

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
Alyssa is 10 weeks but has had the same sleeping habit for the past 8 weeks. She sleeps 10-12 hours everynight. Shes been drinking 5-6 oz. before bedtime since 2 weeks old. She has only woken up once through the night and that was because she was wet. She never eats during the night.

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
Ugh! You all are so lucky! DS still wakes up every 3-4 hrs for feedings! All day, every day!
Though, I must say that something's starting to change, because he slept for 5 hours, twice, in one day. It kinda scared me... I thought something was wrong.
Did any of you do anything to get longer sleep routines in your child?
As for feeding, DS BFs, so I'm not help there.

Re: Moms of 7 and 8 week olds
We setup a bedtime routine that really helped him understand when it was time for bed.
We change him then put him in his PJ's. We then feed him his bottle. The last feeding we do in the bedroom with the lights dimmed and we speak softly. Then off to bed he goes.
It's great because now in the morning he wakes up smiling and so happy instead of before it was always screaming like a lunatic because he was hungry. He just wakes up now because he has had enough sleep.
