Re: Moms of 8-11 month olds

these days, Ella spends a lot of her time at the Fisher Price learning musical learning table. She LOVES to stand, so its perfect. She particularly likes when we sing along, and push the buttons with her. When not there, she's crawling around, pulling up all over and putting everything in her mouth. She recently discovered how to take apart the ABC foam mat pieces and gets a thrill from that (and then eats them)

She also loves peek-a-boo and getting thrown in the air.

There's no set day around here, since my schedule varies each day. We don't have a list of standard activities.

(E will be 8 months this week)

Andrew loves playing with blocks.

He loves to listen to music and dance.

We also play peek a boo, and he loves still being in his exersaucer.

Oh and he loves smashing everything. He loves the noiseChat Icon Typical boyChat Icon

Ellie is cruising along the furniture now so for the time being that seems to be all she wants to do. She's temporarily stopped being interested in toys unless I put them up on the table for her to check out while she stands. Prior to that she was very into the FP rings that you stack on the base and loves the old fashioned FP phone that wheel around. Anything she can shake that rattles or chew on. And prior to cruising she was very into going to Open Play at Gymboree and soldier style crawling everywhere, through the tunnels, up the slides, accross the bridges, etc.

Re: Moms of 8-11 month olds

DD is 8 months old. She plays on the floor most of the day although she still likes her exersaucer 1-2 times a day. She loves to stand at her activity table but I still have to help her get into a standing position and help ease her fall. She isn't too fond of crawling but will do it "soldier style" without lifting her tummy to get to a toy. While at home, I try to help her crawl (encourage her by placing favorite toys out of reach) and stand. She also love books and music. Not taking any classes.

Re: Moms of 8-11 month olds

My DD is 9.5 months old, sometimes i feel i am not doing much with her.

She mostly plays with her leap table, fisher price house and grand piano, all her little toys.
She cruises around my couch and toys
She tries to crawl, but really only wants to walk with me holding her hands, we do that most of the day.
She plays in her exersaucer and comes with me around the house to do housework.

She doesn't watch tv, and mostly eats books, we read them, but she likes to eat them betterChat Icon

I don't have a car, since DH has it for work, so we are homebound, i can't wait for the weather to get warm so we can at least take walks.

Should I be doing more? I feel like such a bad mommy sometimesChat Icon

Re: Moms of 8-11 month olds

Hi :)
Alyssa is 8 mths now. she spends a lot of the day crawling around and getting into everything.
she will sit on the floor with all of her toys out of the toy box and play by herself for a good hour now. her favorites are the v tech car and v tech learning collage.
she is pulling up onto everything now. I am going to get her a learning table this week.
she hates her excersaucer now...
she naps a good 2 hrs in AM and 1 hr in afternoon ...
she likes to eat her books all day long too :)
