Moms of baby boys - christmas outfit q for ya

DS will be just about 4 mos on christmas. I really don't like dressing him in two piece outfits because he looks too much like a big boy (lol!) but the other day i had him in a onesie outfit and a family member said "oh his pjs are so cute" so im wondering - is he too old to be wearing long sleeve/pant/footed onesies as daytime outfits? Can you tell I am clueless! This is my first baby and there hasn't been a baby in my family in a while!

What are you dressing your DS in for the holidays and how old is he? Is it a two piece - sweater/pants or a long sleeve onesie?

Last year my ds was 5 months old for Christmas. I did not want him to be in a pants and sweater outfit - I thought it was too old for him. I found two cute outfits for him, that i thought were age appropiate. One was a one piece outfit from hartstings. It had a collar and did not have feet. It was green and red stripes. THe other outfit was overalls. I love little boys in overalls. I figured he had the rest of his life to wear khakis and sweaters for Christmas.

My DS (5 months) wore a Carters long sleeved, footie onesie thing yeaterday and it was sort of like pajamas, but it was cute.

I had a hard time finding a Chrismtas outfit. We settled on green overalls from Kohls that are not too "big boy" looking. If you want a one piece thing Bloomingdales had velevet Ralph Lauren sleepers that are dressier looking.

Merry Chrstmas!

My 3 1/2 mo old will be in a little biig boy outfit (khakis, etc) for xmas. I agree that onsies look like PJs. I only put DS in them to go to bed and some days if I know we arent going anywhere.

big boy outfits for my little one. He'll be turning 5 mos on Christmas day. I bought him pants (one dress pants and one pair of black cords) to match his older brother (who a couple months shy of 3 on christmas) but haven't found any sweaters yet for the little one. I like little boy clothes over baby type clothes. I get the pj's for night/christmas morning.

I will say with my first I found it easier to dress him in stretchies as outfits until about 2/3mos. With my second son, guess I am use to big boy outfits and only want to dress him in that from the start.

i like stretchy outfits. imo, they seem more comfy and neat for a real little baby. most days dc are in stretchy outfits or onesies with stretchy pants.

my ds will be 7 mos. by christmas and i did get one big boy outfit because i wanted my dd to have a plaid dress and i wanted them to somewhat match. i also got a velvety one piece outfit for each of them. i'm not sure if they will wear that christmas eve or for christmas day. i think because it's velvety, it's a little dressier than regular stretchies.

DS will be 4.5 months by Christmas. I too, dress him up like a "big boy" with the two piece outfits...
then again, my DS is a "big boy" at 17 lbs, i wonder how much he will weigh by Christmas Chat Icon

4 months old is around the time i started putting my sons in 2 piece outfits, I think you can still put him in onesies but maybe for Christmas pics I would put him in his 1st 2 piece "big boy"outfit! Id make him wear it for a little while on Christmas and then change him into a holiday onesie.
