Moms of Baby boys: Airing out the bum
I try at least once a day on his changing table to let him be free of a diaper. Of course this lasts 30 seconds long bc I am afraid he will pee on me...
Do you do this? How often? I feel like it's important but how long can I let him go.

I try, but like you I get afraid. 
Doesn't last long. Maybe try after a bath when he's wrapped in a towel. I do that for a bit, then he starts getting cranky

i used to with my oldest because he had a hemmangioma on his tush that gave issues... i would typically put him in my bath seat (i have one that is mesh and looks like a bouncer) with a wash cloth over him.... however someone suggested i just leave him diaperless in the crib at night... could you IMAGINE the mess that would be

i dont have a boy but lately...lol i know this sounds silly but i will take 3 or 4 cloth diapers and lay them on the floor and put a towel over them and let abby play for a little while to air out...lol she loves every min of it and no worries of peepee! because itoo get nervous she will pee all over like a puppy!

 seriously?! DS wakes up and the overnight weighs 10 pounds. I can't imagine!

exactly the same for me. DS gets maybe a minute of free aired tush time.

I rarely let him air out. when I do, (he is walking) I always find a puddle somewhere

I was more about letting him soak in the tub for longer periods of time. I'm sure that airing is better but soaking is easy to do.

i put a waterproof pad on my floor/bed/random flat surface and let him hang out on his belly. I usually take the opportunity to squish his little butt at the same time . Luckily, my kid isn't a pooper. He goes once a day and it's never projectiled.
eta: even though i put the pad down, he's never peed.
