Mom's of newborns...
This is a dumb question, but here goes...
Do you ever miss being pregnant? I had so much pain towards the end of my pregnancy and was uncomfortable. However, I do miss being pregnant sometimes. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my DD and I am so glad she is here. Could this be raging post preggo hormones??? I know this sounds nuts, please tell me I am not alone here.

Re: Mom's of newborns...
im not a brand new mom, so i hope that its ok i post, but i do miss being pregnant too. i had terrible heartburn, headaches and yes hemmorioids, but everytime i go to my obgyns office just for a routine checkup and i see some pregnant women sitting there, i miss being one of them. it was so exciting going every month to hear the heartbeat and stuff. i miss that.

You're not nuts at all! I missed it at first. Still do occasionnally. I had to go back to my ob at 1 week post partum because I had a fever and I was jealous of all the preggos in the office! When I was in the room I could hear them listening to a baby;s heartbeat in the room next door and it made me a little sad.

Re: Mom's of newborns...
Once I realized that I couldn't just take a nap in the afternoon, I missed being pregnant!!!
But seriously, I had a fabulous pregnancy and do miss it loads! I miss feeling the kiddo moving around, I miss no periods, I miss the way I looked, I miss it all! I can't wait to do it again, but I think I will wait for a while!!!

Re: Mom's of newborns...
DS is 6 weeks old and I miss being pregnant! When I was in the hospital my mother had her digital camera and she was going through them and she goes "oh look I still have your shower pictures on here" I looked at one picture and started balling. This may sound weird but in some way I felt that as long as he was in my belly he wouldnt grow up. For the first probably two weeks I had a hard time adjusting to the fact that each day he was getting older. I even miss the labor and delivery part of it. I had a great/easy pregnancy and delivery. Even though I miss being pregnant I dont want to have another one just yet because I feel like it would take away from the experience of enjoying my son to the fullest.

I miss it too...sometimes I lay my head on DD's chest to listen to her heart beat...brings me back to the times at the doctors office.

Re: Mom's of newborns...
The only thing I miss is the attention. People would practically fall over me to open doors, etc. Otherwise, the rest of it I dont miss at all.

Re: Mom's of newborns...
funny that I just (literally) was thinking - gee - now I am finally enjoying my child and getting past the initial adjustment - wouldn't it be nice to have another and be pregnant
I miss feeling her head in my groin even though it felt like a bowling ball! lol I understand what you mean..........

Re: Mom's of newborns...
Thanks girls It makes me feel better to know I ma not alone.
I miss feeling her in my womb, feeling her hiccup, and listening to her heartbeat. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I was miserable and I don't miss that. I miss everything else though.

Re: Mom's of newborns...
I was put on strict COMPLETE bedrest at 20 weeks up until 37 weeks so I don't miss being preggo at all, I just hope that I can go through it again..
