We have carpet in the nursery (and bedrooms) and hardwood downstairs. I have to say, I like carpet in her bedroom because she is always slipping on the hardwood somehow and knocking her head.

I like that DDs room has carpet.

I personally prefer all bedrooms to have carpet- ours does.

Re: Moms, please help me decide

We have hardwood throughout the house, however, when we were expecting DD we did put carpet in her room. I am glad b/c she was able to have more safe playtime on the rug rather than the hardwood. We have area rugs but they aren't thick or anything like her carpet. Also, I find that her bedroom holds the heat better b/c of the carpet.

We will carpet the new baby's nursery as well.

I like carpet in kids rooms. I just think it is softer, warmer and cozier.

Laminate floor (pergo or otherwise) and an area rug. I love it. I like to be able to sweep and not drag out the vacuum all the time.
