has anyone ever done Jenny Craig??do you know what a weeks worth of foodc cost??

A girl at my job did Jenny Craig she lost alot of weight in a good time however she said it was very expenive and the when she stopped it the weight came back on extremely fast. So far I hear and also feel weight watchers is the way to go.

i cannot stress enough how much i think the souch beach diet works....get the book by dr. agatson...itll turn u on to do the diet and to stay on the diet....my MIL went on the diet- she is now 20 pounds lighter and has remained that way for the last 9 months....my hubby went on it and lost 25 pounds...i, myself, went on the diet before i got pregnant, lost 15 pounds....but then got pregnant, so i went on it again 6 weeks post partum, and lost about 15 pounds....


the best part is u lose belly fat FIRST! i was LOVING that idea!

I'm on my second bout of JC.

When we did it last summer I lost 15lbs and DH lost about 25.

A weeks worth of food can cost between 80-100 and you have to buy fruits and veggies, so your looking at about 125 a week

So what do your kids eat while you are on JC? Do you make a separate meal for them? That's where I'd be picking and cheating.

I think WW is the best diet out there. And its not considered a diet b/c you don't have to cut out a thing, just more about portion control.

I think with South Beach, Jenny Craig etc...while the concept is good and people have success, I just feel its tough to maintain a significant loss. After a while you get tired of the food assigned, or just can't eliminate food groups any longer.

All friends of mine who did atkins, south beach, jenny craig etc had initial success followed by failure. With WW i know myself and family members and friends kept it off...it is a slower loss, but thats a good thing!

my cousin started working at Jenny Craig so I can get the meals 1/2 price.......so i think I may try it

and to answer the above poster my kids and DH all eat different foods anyway(yes its a diner here) so it doesnt matter

isn't JC hard afterwards to maintain?

I lost 22lbs on WW from Jan to March..
I was soooooooooooo happy... and I was able to maintain a size 2...

As soon as I deliver I am going back to my points.... I want to be back to the same weight prebaby

My SMIL lost 25lbs and my SIL lost 20lbs (from where I have no idea ) but they are living in the same house and doing it together, so I think they can split some of the cost.

Personally, I am fan of WW, did it before my wedding and am sort of doing it again now.

My bf is on JC and loves it. She has tried every diet under the sun with no success. She really needs the stricness of JC that the others did not provide for her. She cheated too much on the others because there was too much flexibility. She also like that JC is pretty strict in that if you don't go to a meeting to get weighed, you don't get any food. On WW, if she had a "cheat week", she just wouldn't get weighed that week.
Alsothough the out of pocket is pretty pricy, she lives in NYC and orders out most meals. For her, it actually came out to be a little bheaper and she never has to really think about what to eat
