Moms that have SLR cameras can you recc a good one for a beginner...
One that wouldn't require much reading and "learning" to take good pics? I've only used point and shoots up to now. Just invested a few months ago in a more expensive point and shoot but, it stinks and isn't any better for the extra $$$ (given I have only used the auto setting not sure if this is why). Anyway, SO unhappy with all my pics lately - the coloring is always off and they can be blurry or grainy...Def. in the market for an SLR but nothing to fancy b/c I don't have the time to read through the whole manual right now

They all have an "Auto" function and that will get you through it till your ready to switch to the manual function.
I have a Canon and love it...can't go wrong with either Canon or Nikon.

I'm looking for an entry level SLR and I was told to get the Nikon D40 or Nikon D3000.
There are places online that you can rent these and try them out. I can get you the names if you want.

I have the canon rebel T1i and love it, I go back and forth from Auto to Manual. I like to play around with manual to see how I handle the settings. I am still trying to understand it.

I have the D3000 and I def agree
But I must say that I LOVE the D90 even more (I've stolen my sisters since she doesn't use it)
