Moms w/ pets

How fastidious are you about the pet hair and your baby? I have a dog and I find now that Joseph is crawling around that he always has hair stuck to his fingers or cheeks. Chat Icon

Re: Moms w/ pets

I hate pet hair, we have 3 cats and they stay downstairs, I dont want hair all over my house and on Julia. When we take her down to see them she comes up with all hair on her, its very annoying!

It's a real PITA! Aside from brushing her and vacuuming everyday, there's nothing else I can do. I tried shaving her but then I found short hairs everywhere. The dog sleeps in bed with us too so it can get really annoying. Dog hair gets everywhere!!!Chat Icon

But she is my first baby and is awesome with Roman.Chat Icon

I've pretty much given up. I vaccuum and try to keep up with it but she wants to pet the animals and since its warm they're shedding so I just wipe her hands if I see hair on them.

I gave up on it WAY before she was born! I couldn't keep up with them then, can't now. I hate when she is in our bed and has pet hair on her, and now she grabs their fur. I try to keep them out of her room, so her carpet and play mat don't get covered.

Yeah - she isn't allowed upstairs in the bedrooms but downstairs is her domain so it's everywhere - and he yanks it on her too! So he gets clumpfulls in his hands. I guess I can't worry too much then - just bathe her every other day - lol!Chat Icon

Well my dog doesnt shed but I've been noticing Jacob is reaching out to grab her and he rips at her fur.. and then he has a handful of hair and then goes to put it in his mouth!Chat Icon I'm trying to teach him to "do nice" and pet her gently, but he just grabs and RIPS!! poor dog...Chat Icon Of course she isnt fazed in the least that he is doing it or else I would have to snap her paws off if she got aggressive.
