Moms who are running around to sports all evening like me....
What do you do for dinner? By 5 pm the rat race begins. If I feed them before, by the time we're done running around (around 8 pm) I'm cooking again because they're hungry. Granted, by this time I'm usually tossing Elio's in the oven, but then again I don't want them eating up until they go to bed (9-10), which is what they want to do.
I'm just so tired of being in the kitchen until 10pm.

What about feeding them something before hand but also bring sandwiches and snacks with you to the games that way you're not cooking late when you get home???

I have the same problem.. we it dinner usually before activites and cereal after. However if I think the activities could be over by 7pm, I wait until then. I kind of ruins family dinners.

We do lots of fruit and granola bars before and during sports, and dinner after. I have a lot of dinner recipes that don't take long to cook and I also buy premade entrees from Uncle Guiseppe's and Trader Joe's that I can toss into the microwave.

I usually pack sandwiches or bagel thins with cream cheese and they eat in the car...
I also have apples, oranges, bananas and cereal or granola bars with me...
On busy weeks; I swear we eat more in the car then we do the dinner table :( but at least we are together!

Re: Moms who are running around to sports all evening like me....
Does eating a hot dog at the ball field count as dinner?
On Friday we go out to dinner after their game and on Monday's we have tried eating before, doens't work, they want to eat again and eating after is a pain since they eat and then go right to bed.
I think maybe we should do snadwiches so there is no cook time and maybe even mke the sandwiches before the game.
Karate is over by 5:15 so that day we don't have to worry about.

I give them dinner before we go (around 5:00/ 5:15) then if they're hungry when we get home, it's cereal.
