Moms who BF, what do you do when your DC STTN?
DS slept 9 hours last night. He didnt wake up to eat so when I woke up I was engorged and it was so uncomfortable. If your DC is STTN what do you do overnight? Do you wake up to pump? Thanks.

I didn't wake up to pump. It was uncomfortable for a few nights but after that, my body regulated itself and I didn't produce as much at night.

I eventually did the same...but if I did wake up before her I pumped.

I would pump for a few days until you're sure its not a fluke, then if you don't want to feel the pain you can shorten your pumping session over the next few days.

I would pump right before I go to bed usually 2+ hrs after DC...(all extra supply)
then I would nurse off of one breast in the morning bec it was full and enough to satisfy my DC and pump the other (switch which one it was every other day) and that was also all extra - that is how I had a good stash...
I was engorged for a couple of days but your body adjusts in a couple of days...i wouldn't wake to pump bec your body will never adjust and you will always feel you have to do it...your breasts wont feel as full sooner or later to adjust to the new sleeping habits

Fist of all congratulations!!! I envy you!!
I used to wake up to pump but now he is almost 4 months i just sleep when he does, i have never gotten 9 hours out of him but WHEN i get 7 hours every couple of weeks i just let it go it just gets a little more uncomfy to sleep,
if your DS keeps sleeoing through the night, try to pump right before you go to bed! your bosy will get used to his sleep paterns as well
