moms who bottlefeed
How did you deal with the very swollen boobs and occasional leakage. I am extremely uncomfortable and welcome any and all advice!
TIA

Re: moms who bottlefeed
I wore very tight sports bras and breast pads underneath them. I would also ice them when they hurt.

Re: moms who bottlefeed
My breasts are STILL very swollen (nearly 12 weeks later) and I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I don't know what to do. The milk just won't go away.

At the end of three months the leaking finally stopped.

Nursing pads are a must. However, I was pumping so I was able to relieve the engorgement.

Re: moms who bottlefeed
you could pump, then you could still bottle feed and all that milk wouldn't go to waste?

Re: moms who bottlefeed
I wore a sports bra that was a size too small. I was very lucky, my milk disappeared quickly and I had no pain.

Re: moms who bottlefeed
I wore a bra 24/7 and whith pads underneath it. My boobs didn't hurt that much but I think that might be cuz whenever I took a hot shower alot of the milk would come out.

Re: moms who bottlefeed
if you pump, you will make more milk...which I am NOT saying is a bad thing, but it sounds like you are not trying to BF at all. The baby would be fine if you gave him/her BM in a bottle but again, then you will continue to make more milk. Your body is just doing what it natural to it. You can use ice packs and AVOID hot showers. That will help your body dry up the milk. The hot showers will get the milk out, but then your body will think you need more.

I'll take some of the extra milk. I wish I had this problem. I can't make enough milk
