Moms who gave birth at South Nassau

I am trying to decide what to pack in my hospital bag and one of the things on my list is BF supplies such as nursing pads, lotion etc.

In an effort not to overpack which I feel I am already doing does anyone know what items the hospital supplies or you were able to get your hands on while there so that I don't pack anything I might not need.

TIA

Re: Moms who gave birth at South Nassau

hi corinne Chat Icon i had DS at south nassau in September. i had a great experience there - check out my birth story if you are interested.

they don't supply much but they will give you the HUGE santitary pads that you will have to wear and the disposable mesh underwear that i swear worked almost like spanx Chat Icon i packed my own pads and didn't need a single one.

i did have to bring my own nursing pads and lansinoh.

they also have everything you need for the baby - diapers, t-shirts, receiving blankets, pacifiers if you want them, formula if you are not BFing, and wipes etc.

steal ALL of that when you come home Chat Icon

oh and their pillows SUCK so make sure you bring your own!!

feel free to FM me with any questions. Chat Icon

Ditto. Except had DS in February and will be back in July already.

I too brought my own cream and pads, although I didn't need them because my milk did not totally come in until I came home. Just remember that DH could always bring you stuff back too.

It's a great hospital and I had a wonderful experience. Good luck.
