Mom's who give their babies Probiotics
If you gave your baby probiotics for gas, when did you see a difference? If you didn't see a difference, did you just stop giving them or do you have to wean DC off?

Re: Mom's who give their babies Probiotics
Never tried this for gas(they didn't know about using them when my kids were younger) but I do give it to my DD before we are going on a plane(to bulid up her immune system) or when they have to go on antibiotics to keep the diarreha at bay. I never heard of having to wean them from it.

Re: Mom's who give their babies Probiotics
Our Ped said to use BioGai for gas we noticed a difference around 1 week, in 2 weeks he was a much happier baby.
But I did a million other things during that time, I can't say it was the probiotics alone that helped. I stopped using it when DS had diarrhea for a a week, ped said to switch to Florastor, Florastor is better for diarrhea and can cause gas.
Once we started solids, ds was neither gassy nor had loose stools anymore, so we stopped giving probiotics and introduced yogurt (with peds guidance)
