Moms who had GD?
were any of you put on medication? what is the name of the medication? i wanted to look it up. my perinatal doc is giving me one week with another modified diet otherwise he wants me to start taking medicine because my fasting a..m # has been a little high? I don't want to take any med - what if it has side effects for the baby?

I wasn't on any meds, but I think you're supposed to take insulin shots when your sugar levels exceeds 200.

I could'nt control my am fasting numbers so they put me on insulin. I only took it before bed-it was the Humulin pen. After my son eas born the diabetes was gone. Good Luck
