Moms who Pump -- DC refusing frozen (thawed) milk?

I was EBF DS until two weeks ago when I got the flu. Our ped recommended I have someone else give him expressed milk until I was fever-free for 24 hours, so I went to exclusively pumping and haven't gone back to nursing yet.

So I've been using the Playtex pumpnstore system but the milk's mostly just been refrigerated and I haven't had to dip into my freezer supply. Over the weekend we had to give DS some frozen milk and he seems to hate it. He will take a few sips but then spit out the nipple and trn away. I make sure it smells fine, is warm enough, and he's comfortable but nothing seems to be working -- has anyone else had this happen??

I hope he gets over this -- I've got 500+ oz in my freezer!!!

ETA - DS is 12 wks old.

my older ds HATED defrosted milk... what i ended up doing with that supply was i used it in his cereal because i could not get him to drink it.... in the end i stopped freezing milk with him as a result

DD never had an issue with fresh vs frozen, but what if you try mixing fresh and frozen together to get him used to it......use a little less fresh each time until he is fully drinking just the frozen. Just an idea.......

Seriously, if I had DS #2 before DS #1 -- I'm not sure we'd have two children right now.

DS #1 was so freaking easy-going and relaxed - he STTN before 8 weeks, nursed well, had no trouble with dairy or gluten, no allergies, no illnesses (that I remember anyway).

DS#2 has me on a dairy/gluten-free diet, has EXTREMELY sensitive skin, trouble nursing, some digestive worries and now he won't take frozen milk. Just venting, but boy is he more demanding than his brother was --he's a tougher boss, definitely. =)
