Moms who pump more than once during the day
I have returned to work full time and I pump (try to) 3 times during the day. I get about 4 ounces total when I pump in the am, and in the afternoon and before I leave work sometimes I don't get as much. Can I refrigerate what I pump in the afternoon and before I leave work and then combine those 2 pumps into one bag and THEN freeze? Sorry my question sounds more confusing than it is. I just hate freezing one once of milk so I was just wondering if I could refrigerate what I get during my last 2 pumps of the day and then combine into one bag and then freeze? I hope my question makes sense.. Thank you!

That's what I do when I pump. I'll combine either 1 or 2 days worth and then freeze it.
I think it's okay bc Frankie hasn't had any problems with it but I have a call in to La Leche League about my other BF issues and will ask the question today and let you know.

Yes, of course you can! As long as the earlier milk is refrigerated. BM is great like that, you can combine even the milk from the previous day as long as its refrigerated.

THANK YOU LADIES SO MUCH!!!! I wasn't sure if I could refrigerate, add new milk, and then freeze at the end of the day!! This will limit the number of 1 ounce milk that I have!!! THANK YOU!!!!

I have done that before. I pumped 8x a day for nearly a year. Sometimes I had to combine to get the right amount for the bottle.
You should NEVER combine hot and cold milk though. You should have both in the frig and once at the same temp then combine them.
