Re: Moms who work..How long did you or do you plan to breastfeed?
I BF for 14 weeks. I went back to work at 13 weeks and I was not into pumping at all (plus, I'm a teacher and couldn't see myself pumping in the faculty lounge!). I tried to BF for the two feedings post 3pm, but I dried up I guess. I was a bit sad it was over actually.

I started work when Alex was 10 weeks... she's almost 14 and I'm still going strong and plan to BF for another 3 months or so. I'm an attorney, in and out of court so it's hard, but I make it work.

I BF Claire and pumped at work until she was 12 months old, which was 2 weeks ago. I phased out my pumping sessions during the day and I BF her in the morning and twice in the evening, and she has cows milk while Im at work. We will keep doing this until she is ready to fully stop BF.

I BF for the full year, i go back to work around month 4 and I pump so that there is enough for bottles and cereal, I've already started to stock pile, and I'm happy to say that none of my kids have never had a drop of formula ( not that it is bad), but it was just always my goal for my kids to get the benefits of BM for their entire 1st year of life!

Re: Moms who work..How long did you or do you plan to breastfeed?
Molly had breastmilk for 1 year. I went back to work at 14 weeks. I pumped the entire time (as most people know) since Molly did not latch properly.
I will also add that I did NOT know in the beginning that I would be pumping for a full year...that would have seemed impossible. I kept my goals VERY short for the first 12 weeks. And then I would do monthly goals. Once I got to 7 months I just forgot about goals and kept going.

That's pretty much what I am doing now. Just taking it a month at a time and we'll see how long we make it.
