moms with more than 2, DIsney question
what did you do as far as strollers?
My sister told me the ones you rent are not comfortable at all.
Im wondering if we should buy one there to have for the toddlers (the baby has his own of coursE).
now im wondering if we should bring a double? a double, a single and 3 kids
suggestions?
their ages are 9m 4 1/2 3
the 3yr old gets VERY sleepy and likes his naps. the 4yr old will fight sleep like crazy, so he's not so bad... but of course he might want the luxury of sitting while we stroll...

When you going?
I'd probably bring one umbrella and one double, if I could. OR, just take a chance, bring a double and rent something or bring a carrier to wear the baby.

wear the baby ????? this is a vacation for me too ! he'd feel way too constrained in my bjorn for too long. he likes to stretch out and put one foot up
im so confused we're leaving this weekend.
thanks nancy

Re: moms with more than 2, DIsney question
We'll have 2 - DS (3) and Niece (4) I am bringing the umbrella stroller for the airport.
For Disney we are going to rent a double when we get there.
If you don't think you'll need a stroller for the older boys except to rest at the parks, I would just bring the baby's stroller and rent there as well.

Cool. I meant to bring the bjorn incase you need to give up space in the double for the ones who can walk but get tired/need to rest.

ok phew, I was going to say, Im far from Supermom if Im refusing to carry my baby through a park all day
but thats a good idea, to have a double and worry about the 3rd if and when the time comes, as opposed to worrying about two.. (I hope I made sense its getting late )

a friend on one of my boards just said the same thing you said, she just went last month with 3 kids, and she had a bjorn to swap out the kids, lol.
good thinkin' mama !
I think I may rent the double ones there, just the thoght of lugging a double stroller im sure they will sleep fine even though its hard plastic (the rentableS). she said they have weekly rental rates.

The stroller that you rent there will be fine for the kids but not the baby...
I would personally rent a double for the 2 older kids and just buy a cheap umbrella for the baby.

Re: moms with more than 2, DIsney question
i have done both... i have gone with a sit and stand stroller... and another stroller and i have rented the double and brought a single.. honestly the older kids LOVE the rented one.. they are not comfortable but they are roomy and the kids can jump in and out of them without a problem at the rides. honestly , that's what i would do.

Disney doesn't offer weekly rates. You pay each day. If you decide to park hop the same day, you don't have to pay twice, you just show your receipt.
**I stand corrected..I just found this on mousesavers....
**Disney rents strollers at $10 per day for a single, $18 per day for a double. There is a discount for multi-day stroller rentals that works out to $8/day for a single, $16/day for a double. A multi-day rental will also save you time, because you'll be given a receipt that allows you to go up to the cast member dispensing the strollers, have them stamp your receipt, get your stroller and you’re off! No more waiting in the long cashier line to pay for a daily rental. In addition, they will refund any unused days. Thanks to Julie S and Lisa C for additional info.****
Bring a blanket to put under the kids in the stroller. Animal Kingdom and I believe MGM have jogging type strollers, so they aren't as uncomfy as the hard plastic ones.
We ditched the stroller when my son was around 4.5, and he just walked. It was too cumbersome and it was such a pain to have to search for the stroller at each attraction exit. He did really good too, so your 4 year old might surprise you and walk a lot.
What hotel are you staying at? If you are staying at a Disney World resort, it's going to be such a pain to lug strollers on the bus if you don't have a car. Even if you have a car, it's still a pain IMO.
www.disboards.com is a great source of information. There is a forum devoted to families on there.
Have fun :)
