Moms with the FP Rainforest Jumperoo

I got her Jumperoo all put together today and she's still too short even on the lowest settingChat Icon

I put a pillow underneath but she seemed a little confused by the whole contraption. Did it take your little one's alittle while to get used to it and figure out what to do?

Jodi are you sure theres not something wrong with how you set it up? Gillians feet reach the bottom and she is an inch shorter then hannah.

Really??? I don't think I did anything wrong. How much space is there from the bottom of your seat to the floor without her in it?

Maybe Hannah has a long torso and short legsChat Icon

I just measured and its 1 foot from the bottom of the seat to the floor - her legs from her seat to her foot is only 7 inches.

Paulette, I think I know what I did wrong.

I have the metal pin in the loop that says 1 (which is actually the 2nd loop) - so when I look at the jumper with her in it the numbers showing are only 2 and 3. Was I supposed to be put the pin in the first loop with actual number on it?

Know what I mean?

I have the same jumperoo, but obviously havent even set it up yet since Cailen's only 2 weeks old, but I can't help but laugh when you said she seems confused by the whole contraption... I can just imagine you adjusting and putting pillows down and getting all frustrated, and that cute little face looking at you like - huh?

We have so many toys for our babies, and we know what they are supposed to do, but its all still a learning experience for our babies... Chat Icon

try it and see what happens!
I thought for a second that maybe hannah had shorter legs...but sorry no way! hannah is taller then Gillian for sure. Stick it in the 1st loop and tell me what happens. I will try and measure if you have more problems.

Re: Moms with the FP Rainforest Jumperoo

Surprisingly, the minute I put Nikolas into the jumperoo, he instinctively knew what to do and started jumping his head off Chat Icon (but he is the type who loves to bounce on my lap constantly and bounce himself like crazy in his bouncy seat.. so maybe that's whyChat Icon.. who knows? Chat Icon)

I didn't try him in the jumperoo though until he was a little over 5 months old.. how tall is Hannah again? I think when we started Niko in the jumperoo he was 27 inches long

Re: Moms with the FP Rainforest Jumperoo

we started DS with the jumperoo at 4 months and did the SAME thing - put a pillow underneath because only his toes were touching the floor, even on the lowest setting

it took him a day or two to figure out what to do and at first he was kind of "marching" one foot at a time - then eventually he was jumping with both legs

I had to put it on the lowest setting too. And it took a few weeks for DD to know how to jump in it. She liked it, and still likes it, but not as much as her exersaucer.

Can one of you lovely ladies do me a favor and tell me what numbers are showing on your green straps when its on the lowest setting.

Mine only said 2 and 3 - now I put the pin in the blank loop and it shows 1, 2 and 3. She's sleeping now, but I bet that does the trick. I just want to make sure its ok to use that very first loop with no number on it.

THANKS!!!Chat Icon

Re: Moms with the FP Rainforest Jumperoo

mine is on the one with no numbers, that first loop. He got rug burn on his pinky toe from it, so now he is on restrictionChat Icon he curls his toes under except his big toe, so his other toes are constantly dragging.

Thanks Janice. I couldn't figure out why Hannah's taller than most babies and can't reach the floorChat Icon

That did drop it alot, so tomorrow hopefully we can bouncy bounce!!! She LOVES to bounce. The rougher I am with her the more she laughs!!!

ETA Hope his toe feels better soon!

Hannah LOVES to bounce. When she cries it always stops her if I bounce her on my leg. The rougher the better!!

She couldn't figure out how to bounce because she couldn't reach the floorChat Icon I used a throw pillow so it kept moving and it was too squishy...now I figured out how to lower it so hopefully tomorrow we have better luck.

At 4 1/2 months she's 26 or 26 1/2 inches. She's in 6 - 9 month pants. She's tall!!!!

My DH said it's OK to use the blank loop...we used that at first for like a week and then he already got big enough for the first setting - now at 5 months he is on #2!

I just wanted to tell you that we are on the blank loop too! And DD is 6 months old (in a few days). And she is still pretty tall.

Luca doesn't have the Jumperoo, but I have the doorway jumper and it definitely took him a while to figure it out. But he sure has the hang of it now. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
