Montauk for the day
For my birthday next week, I want to plan a family day-trip to Montauk. I am looking for things to do with my 2 year old. Any ideas? TIA!

... also, has anyone ever gone to Hither Hills and not camped there? Is it fun to go for the day?

really, just make it a relaxing day...beach, docks, shopping in town, and something to eat.

Would you say Hither Hills for the beach? If not, what beach would you recommend?

Re: Montauk for the day
I say go to Hither Hills with a child especially b/c they have nice bathrooms and showers to use. Plus there is a playground etc. Have fun!

I agree but be open to eating at places off the beaten path to avoid expensive small portions.
