Mood disorders and PCOS connection...

I haven't read it yet- going to now...
I am on a PCOS site and I once read an article on there that said that women w/ PCOS have an 8x higher suicide rate.  No wonder w/ all the garbage we put up w/!

Wow, alarming suicide stat there. I think REs should be screening for the disorders and referring to mental health professionals. I know that when I wasn't trying to conceive and went to my RE, all he did was put me on Metformin. There was no other discussion on any other aspect of PCOS. I felt like if I wasn't TTC, then my PCOS didn't matter. There are drugs out there for toenail fungus and nothing specific for us, PCOers. Lovely.
