mop & glo has ruined my floor
I dont even know where DH found this stuff, but he used it on our tile floors (almost the entire house), and there is such a greasy, waxy, streaky sheen, it looks horrible.
I googled how to remove Mop & GLo, and there are so many websites and postings about this. This crap should be removed from the store shelves.
We have polished the floor 3x already with vinegar and hot water, and you can still see it. My house smells like a salad. The floors look like a skating rink. Tomorrow he is going to use the buffer and see if that works.
Anyone have any tips to remove this crap?

Re: mop & glo has ruined my floor
I wonder if you can sprinkle some baking soda down or some other powder form and THEN mop it up? I recently had a slippery bathroom floor (like, I'd fall down on my behind -- it was so dangerous) and I sprayed bleach down and that seemed to help with the slippery issue.

I used something similar on my hardwoods and thought they were ruined. We used windex to take the film off the floors...took a long time but it worked.

Try ammonia. Works wonders on removing grease and wax buildup.

Re: mop & glo has ruined my floor
Step One: Use an Amonia & Water mix to mop ...
Step Two: Buy Granite Gold Stone & Tile Cleaner/Polish to restore tile's original look.
It worked for me when I used pinesol on my tile and it made the worst streaking/build up ever .. the vinegar/water made it even worse with the streaking. The amonia /waterwill strip the build up, make sure to use the granite gold stuff, it really does restore the tile.
