More Magazine|Fitness Magazine Women's Half-Marathon
Anyone doing this half on April 3rd in Central Park???? I just registered for it. I was torn between that and the Queens 13.1 the day before but chose the MORE one. I wish the 13.1 was another weekend!

I know, I wish they weren't a day apart! I registered for the 13.1 in Queens. We have to do a race together soon! Let me know if you'd be interested in doing a 4 mile race in Long Beach on Feb. 5th. Its the "Snowflake 4 miler" and its completely on the boardwalk... I did it last year, it was cold but a lot of fun! They do the awards and raffles in a school gym afterwards, and they have plenty of Starbucks coffee!

I saw that you were doing that queens half and I wanted to do that b/c I grew up in Flushing but then decided to do the NYC one I wish you were doing it Jean! Maybe I will come and do the snowflake one with you sounds like a lot of fun!

Is the Queens Half on 4/2 a NYRR event? I don't see on their calendar.....I see one in August not April?

I don't think the Queens one is, but I'm pretty sure the More Magazine one is a NYRR event

i ran it last year in the pouring rain! Two years ago the course was two laps clockwise in CP, last year it was counter-clockwise (which is harder). I wonder how the course will look this year!
