More on bottles....I'm confused....
I was planning on using Avent and even have a few already. I am also planning on BF and have a Medela pump. I am a little overwhelmed today looking online. I see Medela has silicone nipples...Should I buy those to go with the Medela bottles that screw onto the pump? Or should I pump and then transfer to the Avent bottles?
It's bad enough I am not being told that she shouldn't have a bottle for three weeks if I am BF to avoid nipple confusion?

I orginally planned on pumping directly into the avent bottle...avent sells a conversion kit for the medela pump... Link to avent conversion kit
But I'm not sure now if im using avent bottles or not

Thank you! This helps....after your post on the Born Free bottles, I read it in two different mags and now I might be reconsidering. However, they did say the Avent drop-ins were okay.

After my post I reconsidered also! I don't know what to do, what bottles to use. I registered for the medela bags for now (to pump directly into the bag) since I'd probably be storing the milk anyway. Then I'll just defrost and pour into whatever bottle I decide to use.

That was my other undecided thing, the bags. They seem like a great idea! Ugh...

This is utterly confusing!! I'm hoping the lactation specialist in the hospital can shed some light on this. I don't plan on pumping for a while anyway, so I have time to get new stuff if needed.

Re: More on bottles....I'm confused....
To make my life easier (and you will need to if you are BF!!!), I pumo in the containers that came with the PIS pump I have. Then I transfer to storage containers/bottles if I need to BF soon/freezer bags.
ETA: I use Dr. Browns wide neck bottles.

I think I will end up doing this...I can't seem to come to another decision and I already have the Avent bottles unless I decide to take them back.
