More Potty Training ?s....how to only let her flush when she has actually gone?
DD loves flushing the toilet. She tells me she has to go, and then announces that she "pee peed" (but she hasn't), then gets down and fllushes and waves bye bye to the pee pee (but there isnt any), and then climbs up and says more pee pee. She ends up doing this 3 or 4 times in one sitting, but sometimes doesn't go at all. I don't want to discourage her from using the potty, and if I tell her she cant flush unless she goes, she gets upset and tells me she did go. How do I get her to just go once/flush once and be done?

This can go 2 ways for me...depending how old your DD is: 1. She doesn't actually know she's not peeing, and it that case she's probably not ready to be trained. 2. She is old enough to be told "no" when she wants to flush the toilet, and told she can only flush when she pees, and its not a game. She might throw a fit, but they also have to learn he potty isn't a game. You go, you flush, you wash, you leave!

If she is not on the potty then no flushing but I let her if she did or thinks she did. But mostly she sits on her own little potty and it makes a sound so she s Can flush that a million times no water bill on that.
