More questions for C-section moms

How long was your incision tender for?
What does your incision look like?-Does your skin fold over your incision (as mine does)?
Its only been 3 weeks but I'm still not feeling right.
TIA

Re: More questions for C-section moms

Oh my..give yourself a chance! 3 weeks is nothing...it was major surgery!

I am at 4 months now and I still dont feel right most of the time. Parts of my stomach are still numb but its still tender at the same time. If my stomach brushes up agaisnt anything, it hurts so bad. I still cant sleep fully on my stomach, which I miss so much but hopefully soon.

My incision was a dark dark line. Now its fading although I gotta admit, I dont look at it too much..it freaks me out.

Take it easy and remember, it takes a while!

Re: More questions for C-section moms

I would say it was tender for several months. Even now (15 mos.) it doesn't feel "normal"--probably it never will be back to the same thing.

My scar is pinkish/reddish and slightly raised. I like it!

Also, I think my skin does the same thing you're talking about--it's like a little pouchy thing? Like the scar region is kind of indented? That's always kind of bothered me since the surgery.

It's OK that you're still not "right." Just give it a bit more time!

Re: More questions for C-section moms

i am almost 8 weeks pp- i don't have any tenderness really but the incision site isn't 100%- it's still slightly numb- the nerves have to regenerate.
i don't have a fold over thing- don't know what that is.

the scar is red and slightly raised- but not much... i was told it will fade w/ time.

I am almost 12 weeks pp and I am the same, except my scar is not that noticable.
