Morning LI traffic

Is it just me or traffic hasnt eased up one bit since school has let out? The last few years I've always noticed a dramatic difference in traffic once school is done, but it doesnt seem so this year. What's up with all the traffic?

Well today was bad. You know how it is, people see a drop of rain and they forget how to drive Chat Icon. But generally speaking I think it's been a little lighter...

Re: Morning LI traffic

Ugh, I was destined to be late today. I totally avoided the southern/wantagh/northern, but it backfired on me when I took Sunrise. They completely shut it down in seaford and I was stuck in it. Chat Icon

I think it's been lighter also because a lot of people take of work the first week after school lets out. It's the first week of summer for the kids, and the parents want to spend it with them. But this cra-ppy weather has been slowing everyone down!

It was pretty bad this morning. But it's true what you said Diva. Traffic usually lightens up a little bit when school is out but I haven't noticed that either. I was thankful I put 1010wins and heard that they had closed the Northern State.....so I took the LIE.......And I leave pretty early so I figured that later on must have been crazy with all the delays.....

Oh is THAT what happened there this morning? Thankfully I took Merrick Rd to the Wantagh this morning but it was packed - very unusual. I guess I was getting all the overflow from Sunrise.
