mortgage application
i know this can vary but about how long did it take for your mortgage application to go through? (not preapproval we have that)
i fear that this will hold us back from closing. everyone else is on board to get this done.
ETA our preapproval only took 3 days to get. we are using astoria federal

It definitely varies. We submitted our application on 6/9 and we are still waiting. They said we should get our commitment by 7/1. Ridiculous amount of time if you ask me!

we had a signed contract on may 28th and a commitment letter on june 11th. it depends on the bank and how long it takes YOU to get all the info they need to them.

oh thank yiu but we have been working with the bank and already got our preapproval from them. he did the preapproval quickly so i hope this will be no different
we are waiting for the other party to sign the contract in the meantime we are going to get started on the application so that its ready when the contract is signed

I really hope mine doesnt take that long i want to be in before our wedding
yeah i think most are quicker than our process. we are applying for a very specific loan and the criteria is very stringent so they look into everything. i feel like the CIA is looking into it.
