Mortgage with NEFCU
Does anyone have a mortgage with NEFCU (Nassau Educators Federal Credit UNion)
Pros? Cons? Rate? Anything else you would like to share?

I LOVE NEFCU! I've been a member for many, many years (was able to get an account there through my university). I have and would continue to get mortgages through them. It was quick, easy and they were VERY fair.

We're looking into this right now, they seem to have the lowest rate for a fixed mortgage we could find.

We have our HELOC through them and they have been great! We've also had several other loans through them and they had good rates. I wouldn't hesitate to get my next mortgage with them.

My mortgage is through NEFCU. The rate was very good and the process went super smoothly. I highly recommend them.

We have our mortgage with them and are very happy so far..haven't made a payment yet..haha..just closed on April 9, but everything was smooth and the rates were the lowest...you can check on bizrate.com for updates everyday as my DH did and found just that...just keep track and collect the papers they need and you're golden..enjoy!

I just locked in with them and unfortunately I feel they have terrible customer service. We were assigned to a woman who was very rude to us and not very helpful. When I tried to be assigned to someone new I got the runaround and am still stuck with the same person.

We got ours through Bethpage Federal Credit Union so I am sure it is similar. We loved it. If you belong to a CU, it is ALWAYS better than going to a broker or a bank.
