Mortons Neuroma
Does anyone have any experience of this? The GP has told my husband that he may have this, he struggles with pain on the bottom of his feet, in his joints.
Any insight or experience with this would be appreciated.
THANKS!!!

Re: Mortons Neuroma
One Podiatrist told me that I have that and wanted to operate right away and pull the nerve out.
The Orthopedist told me I have metatarsalgia and is sending me for orthotics. He said surgery is a last resort. He said I may have a neuroma on top of that but he wants me to try the orthotic first.
Can't wear high heels really and I get burning in the ball of my foot and in my third to last toe. I can feel clicking in my foot when I walk especially if my shoes are too narrow.
It blows. I'll try the orthotic first. I know someone that had the neuroma operated on and it didn't help.

Re: Mortons Neuroma
I had the same clicking in my foot and pain by the third and fourth toes.
My podiatrist gave me a cortisone shot right on the bottom of the area---about a cm above my toes. It wasn't fun, but it wasn't as bad as I thought.
It took a few weeks but it got better and he told me to wear sneakers as much as possible to try to avoid surgery.
