most Liquidators Stores Closing :(
The liquidators near me is going out of business, so sad I love going there to buy randoms stuff. So many stores closing, it is depressing!

dh was in there a few weeks ago and an employee was telling him that they hadn't gotten their paychecks for the week. so if he couldn't find the curtains he wanted to go to another liquidators soon.

They will all be closed on the Island by the end of the month. They said on the news that the deals right now are amazing!!!
There is one in Queens that will remain open.

the west hempstead location did still have furniture in the basement- although its clearing out

I'm thrilled the one near me is closing. It's sooo gross in there!! Dirty and smelly. Yuck!
I'm hoping they put a bookstore in it's place someday!

I don't mind that they are closing - a lot of them aren't well maintained and the one in WH with it's flourescent pink sign is an eyesore... BUT I am worried that these buildings will remain vacant now. The WH one (where Shopper's Village used to be) is an enormous building. I'd hate for the majority of it to sit vacant for too long... The one in Baldwin isn't as big, but it would be awful to have an abandoned building in its place.
I hope they are taken over by new businesses, though!
