mothers day
this is my 1st mommys day and its also my sisters 1st mommys day... we are both going over to my moms...
question.. my mom asked me if she should invite my DH parents over.. I am close with them and love them dearly but I dont want people fighting over my DD and I want to spend the day enjoying it..
should I invite them to my moms OR visit them later that eveining?
UPDATE
soo my mom called and said my sister wants to do a brunch at my moms so we are going to do that and I will visit my MIL later on .. so now I can spend time with my sister and Niece and have Olivia play with her cousin..(they are 2 months apart)
I am so glad it worked out...this 2 family thing can get stressful

I say it's your first Mother's Day, you should spend it exactly how you want it. Sounds like you have some hesitation about having your inlaws go to your mom's house. If that's the case and you can still see them on the same day, just later at their house, do it!

my family/parents are close to my IL's, if it were us, they'd be invited. I wish i could see all my family on mothers day, but they are all a state away.
I guess it depends on the relationship and your family dynamic.

my family is great and the in laws are great also.. i am not sure bc I dont want it special for my sister bc it took her a while to get pg.
I am the one who makes everyone happy all the time.. now that this is my day now.. I dont know what to do....
In the begiinning of the week my sister said its her day and she will do what she wants.. with that.... i dont know if I want to have DH parents over bc my BIL's parents arent going over....
oh what to do.....
just so you know I LOVE MY INLAWS I wouldnt wish to have differnt ones.. They are really great.

Christine, I don't think it would be a bad thing to see your family at your mom's house and then go to the inlaws later. You would still get to see everyone!
