mothers helpers?

Those of you that have mothers helpers..... I just wanted to know how it works and have a few questions. I want to look into getting someone for some help.

1. Where did you find someone??

2. How many hours per week do they come??

3. How much do they cost?

4. Do you think it's worth it?

TIA!! Chat Icon

Re: mothers helpers?

I was a mother's helper before i had DD and i loved it. i would LOVE to get back into it.

The way it worked for me was i usually got jobs from word of mouth. i never put an ad out or anything just told my family i was looking for some part time work as a mothers helper and to spread the word to their friends. It does help that i have a large family Chat Icon

i usually worked during the week- monday to friday after school hours or just on the weekends. For the weekdays i would say about 4 hours a day and on the weekends about 4-7 hours a day

I was getting paid about $15 a hour depending on what was asked of me and how many children.

just wanted to add that some mom's had different ideas on what a mother's helper was supposed to do. It could involve all or just one of babysitting, cleaning, running errands....etc.
