Motorola Razr - almost 1 year old
And true to form they are giving us problems. I think most products these days are built to last until the warranty is up. Thankfully our phones are still within the warranty
We got them in July 2006 and recently both of them are going crazy.
DH & I both have them and we DID love them but lately the battery is dying quickly and the volume freaks out for no reason i.e. in May DH was talking to me and for like 30 seconds and I could not hear him at all but he could hear me (not talking but the music I had on in the house). We had no problems with the Razr's at first.
DH's Razr phone died yesterday. Well, not totally but all the keys stopped working except the on/off key. We never had them serviced since we got them in July 2006 but his phone has been acting weird for a few weeks. He can hear people but they can't hear him. He has a loaner phone from T-mobile while we wait 2-3 business days for his new Razr to arrive.
My phone is still okay but I did have some issues with the hearing people on the handset for the last couple of weeks. And for some reason I am not getting all of my picture messages (but that was only as of yesterday when a tower was down).
We never knew until yesterday that T-mobile does not service their phones in the stores. All service/trouble shooting is done over the telephone It's not a huge problem but I'd rather drop off the phone for service instead of sitting around and pushing/trying to push buttons.
The positive, although DH's phone died, we were able to salvage the phone numbers (SIM card and phone) and text messages stored on his phone via the Motorola Phonetools software. We highly recommend it I ordered it from ebay.com and get updates on-line.

Re: Motorola Razr - almost 1 year old
Danielle and I are both on our second rqazor phones. Her first one had a problem with the screen. My first one had a problem with the screen, the battery, and the buttons would take time to register that they were pushed.
Our new ones are better but I do have an issue with the battires - the charge doesnt last that long

We had that issue first. DH would charge it all night while the phone was off and it would die really fast.
If mine is gonna die, I prefer it happen now so I can get a new one with a new warranty.

DH's kept opening up to "record a voice memo" when no buttons were pushed

Re: Motorola Razr - almost 1 year old
My DH has a Razr and he hates it...it turns off by itself all the time. He is due for a new phone this month...but like always with Verizon they rarely have a great phone that you MUST get.

We've both had the Razr since November and knock on wood, no problems yet. We have a 2 year contract so hopefully they will be good until then.

Re: Motorola Razr - almost 1 year old
Join the club...Razr's $uck! We've had problems since we got them over a year ago. DH's screen is all messed up and whenever he brings it in, they "fix" it but then it happens again. DH had to buy a bigger battery because it wouldn't stay charged. Mine is now draining the battery when it is on the charger and for some odd reason, the alarm ALWAYS goes off on saturdays even though it is set for M-F. it' drives me crazy!!!!!!!!! We can upgrade one of them early this month so DH is getting a new one since his has more probs but I have to wait to Feb unless I want to pay.
