movement question for those in the 3rd trimester
i am 34 weeks and i noticed that i am not feeling the baby move as much as she/he did in earlier weeks. it has me freaked out. i do the fetal kick counts and get in the required amount, but i just feel like the baby is not moving as much. is this b/c the baby is getting bigger or should i be worried? i went on weds for a sono and everything looked fine, baby was moving and breathing normally. the baby is breech and facing backwards-could this have any effect on the baby moving?

the placement of the baby may have something to do with it but its getting cramped in there, they tend to slow down.

Re: movement question for those in the 3rd trimester
My OB says the amount of movement should be the same, just a different type of movement. She has me seeing how long it takes to move 10 times (usually after lunch). It's funny, because I didn't think he was moving so much but those 10 times go by pretty fast.

My doctor hasn't had me couting movements, but she just keeps asking if I am still feeling her. THe movements definitely changed, but not the frequency.

Re: movement question for those in the 3rd trimester
i felt the same way and my OB said that i should count 6 movements per hour. sometimes i don't feel the movements because they are not kicks, but squirms. when i stop and pay attention the 6 movements come pretty quickly. i also sometimes now poke a bit to get a response when i get nervous...

i am definitely feeling more rolling than kicking. but i guess that still counts! it just freaks me out though. with all of my complications (diabetes, low amniotic fluid) i just am a big worry wort.

I only feel rolling or pushing now, definitely not kicking. Her feet are like three inches above my belly button now and when I lean my hands on my belly, she sometimes squirms to remind me I'm crushing her So I usually take that as a sign that all's good in there Try playing some music, too. Sometimes my little one will move when there's music on.
