Movie birthday party?
I'm thinking about having my DD 5th birthday? Don't want to break the bank. Anyone have this type of party? Any feedback?

Re: Movie birthday party?
DW took DD to her friend's 6th b-day party at the movies (Alvin and the Chipmunks). According to DW and the pics, it looks like everyone had a good time.

Re: Movie birthday party?
Are you thinking of doing it at home or actually going to the movies?
I was at a birthday party this weekend where the parents had transformed their basement into a movie theater - movie posters, big projector screen, bags of popcorn, juice etc, the kids loved it.

Re: Movie birthday party?
We did an at home one and it was so fun! Set up the kitchen like a concession stand with popcorn, theater boxes of candy, soda, etc. Set up the chairs like at a theater with a red carpet in between. It was a lot of fun.
If you are talking about having it out, I would look into one of the smaller theaters. The big chains seem to be pricey.
